Red Devils of St Nicolas

The Mountain fortress of Vore is gaurded by a brigade who's history is steeped in tradition. After the great Muslim invasion and the succesfull defence of Vore the streets ran red with the blood of the invader. Burggraf Ferdinand I stood amounst his men and was heard to say "We few, we happy few, we Band of Brothers from this day forth you shall be dressed in red so that any invader may be warned". The Red Devils to this day stand gaurding the great eastern and western gates and the Schloss. The "Red Devils of St Nicholas" is believed to originated after the Cathedral of St Nicholas was built in 1680.

  1. Very good- (if exotic-)looking 'traditional' troops; with a very satisfying correspondence between the name and the uniform...
The combination in the same army of such with 'modern' types like the Brown Wolves of Vore is an interesting peculiarity of Skanderberg.
